Chiropractic is the science, art & philosophy of locating & correcting vertebral subluxations through gentle, specific chiropractic adjustments, thus allowing your body to function at its optimum potential.
| How does chiropractic work? |

Our nervous system is responsible for the function of every organ and tissue in the body. The nervous system consists of the brain, spinal cord and the nerves exiting out. The brain communicates with the different areas of the body by sending messages through the spinal cord. When more stress is put on or in the body than it can handle, it creates nerve interference, subluxations. Chiropractors gently adjust subluxations to return proper nerve function to the body. With a proper functioning nervous system, the body is able to reach its optimum potential of health and vitality.

| How long will it take? |
[-] |
This is one of the most common questions but is the hardest to answer. The length of time that it takes depends on the commitment of the patient to follow their care plan, reduce biochemical, physical and emotional stresses, and the level of wellness that the patient chooses to obtain. It also depends on how long the subluxation has been there. Chiropractic is one of the most beneficial components of health but the patient is truly the one responsible for the outcome of their health and wellness.

| Why should I bring my children? |
[-] |
As parents, we love our children and want them to be able to live life at their highest potential. Most parents are not aware that 90% of all children are subluxated during the birthing process. This means that 90% of children, symptom free or not, are not living at their highest health potential. Symptoms many times are the body's last resort warning signal, telling you that your body has been in a state of dysfunction for quite some time. Chiropractic is very safe and gentle but most importantly your child's health may depend on it.

| Are children and adults adjusted the same? |
[-] |
Although both adult and pediatric adjustments are gentle, the amount of pressure used to adjust a child is no more than that used to test the ripeness of a tomato.

|
| Is chiropractic safe? |
[-] |
Chiropractic is the SAFEST health profession available. An extensive exam, history, nervous system scan and x-rays are all performed to assure the safest care.
|
| I heard that chiropractic can help migraines, allergies and ear infections among other things. Is that true? |
[-] |
Chiropractic does not treat any disease or condition. Chiropractic removes any nerve interference that could be causing dysfunction in the body. This returns proper communication function, allowing the body to heal itself and thereby many of these conditions subside.

| What is that popping sound sometimes heard during certain adjustments? |
[-] |
That sound is not your spine "cracking" or "popping" like most people think. That sound is created by gas (in this case, nitrogen) rushing in to fill the partial vacuum created when the joints are slightly separated. Another example of this phenomenon would be the "pop" sound you hear when the cork is taken out of a champagne bottle. Not all chiropractic adjusting techniques produce this noise.

| How do I know if chiropractic can help me? |
[-] |
The best way to find out is to make an appointment. Symptoms are merely the effect. The only way to truly know if you can be helped with chiropractic care is to come into the office where an extensive history, x-rays and a scan of your nervous system can be performed to identify if you have nerve impingements that could be corrected through chiropractic adjustments.
